A senior administration official provided an update on efforts to protect U.S. critical infrastructure from the growing, persistent, and sophisticated threats. In addition, it was noted that the President will sign a National Security Memorandum on “Improving Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure Control Systems,” which addresses cybersecurity for critical infrastructure and implements long-overdue efforts to meet the threats faced by the United States.
