Mr. Burhan Adam is the Director for System Security Policy, Guidance, and Standards in the Science and Technology Program Protection Office in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, where he oversees technology and program protection; technical information; cyber-resilient weapons systems; and system security engineering policy, guidance, standards, education, and training. He establishes policy and guidance to develop and transition technology and program protection-planning tools, methods, and procedures. He has served as Assistant Program Executive Officer (PEO), Engineering, for the U.S. Navy PEO Enterprise Information Systems; Branch Chief, Future Multinational Information Sharing Capabilities at the Defense Information Systems Agency; Senior Systems Engineer with the Missile Defense Agency; and a national expert to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Consultation, Command, and Control Agency. Mr. Adam is a graduate of North Carolina State University, The George Washington University, National War College, National Defense University (NDU), and Information Resources Management College at NDU.
