Mr. Tim Denman is building Zero Trust training material as part of a rotational assignment with the DoD Zero Trust Portfolio Management Office. Prior to this, he worked for six and a half years as the DAU Cybersecurity Learning Director. In his former role, which he will assume after the completion of his rotational assignment, Mr. Denman led the geographically dispersed cybersecurity teaching and consulting team that consists of 10 full-time faculty and several others that support the development of DAU’s cybersecurity learning products, training efforts, and content consulting. The team’s work products include a virtual cyber training range, held once per month, and a physical training range currently in Pax River, Maryland, and ranges that will be located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and Huntsville, Alabama, and San Diego, California in the near future. The team also regularly holds a variety of workshops and leads the DoD Cyber Table Top Facilitator training on a monthly basis.

Tim has been with DAU since 2006 and has taught and developed Engineering, Information Technology and Production, Quality, and Manufacturing courses and served as the DAU-South Engineering and Technology Department Chairman for five years. In 2015, Tim won the Frank Anderson Award as the faculty member who “best exemplifies the DAU values of alignment and teamwork, customer focus, performance excellence, and speed and agility”. Mr. Denman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and his MBA from Indiana University, he earned a CISSP in 2006. He is currently pursuing a doctorate of strategic leadership at Liberty University.
