The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is now represented in the new DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce (DCWF) Qualification Provider Marketplace online. Intended for DCWF personnel, the Marketplace is a time-saving platform that utilizes a simplified search to find preapproved cyber training products. It includes a sophisticated but simple-to-use search engine that can search by role code or training provider, allowing the user to find training providers who can assist them in fulfilling cyber workforce foundational qualification requirements. Each position within the DCWF includes billet qualification requirements at the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels, with associated foundational qualification requirements.

The DoD Cyberspace Workforce Strategy, available at the DoD Cyber Exchange, sets the requirements for this Marketplace. The drafters for the strategy chose a web-based marketplace as the best approach for establishing and maintaining the list of all vetted providers. The Marketplace application process allows cybersecurity providers to have new courses evaluated, added, and removed, as needed. The website architecture continues to improve search capabilities and the user interface experience.
